Authenticate

Authentication is the process of verifying the identity of a user or a device before allowing access to a network, system, or application. The goal of authentication is to ensure that only authorized users or devices are able to access the resources they need, and to prevent unauthorized access.

There are several types of authentication methods, including:

Password-based authentication: The most common form of authentication, where a user is prompted to enter a username and password to access a network, system, or application.

Two-factor authentication (2FA): An authentication method that requires two separate forms of authentication, such as a password and a security token or a fingerprint.
